World-renowned Master Chef Grant Achatz doesn't subscribe to conventions when it comes to his one-of-a-kind culinary creations. No detail is overlooked in his kitchen, so why shouldn't a site that's associated with his five-star restaurant Alinea maintain the same standards of quality and innovation?

Our friends at Smartley Dunn Solutions, Ltd. came to us for assistance with alinea-mosaic.com, the companion site experience to the restaurant's recipe book, showcasing Achatz' work. In conjunction with Ken Waagner, we developed a community platform and integrated interface templates to display a range of amazing content - from recipes and photography to videos and wallpaper.

An interactive forum allows customers to communicate directly with Achatz and his staff, providing a unique online-only glimpse into what it's like behind-the-scenes at Alinea. The content is exclusive "bonus material" for customers who pre-order the book, due to be released in October of 2009.

Now, if we could only master that incredible foam technique...
