Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson's compliment carried deep meaning for us. After over a year of close collaboration with the ELCA, we had come to understand the 5+ million member church's infrastructure, communication goals, and technical and operational challenges. The launch of the new ELCA.org reflects a year of hard work, listening, strategy, and collaborative execution.
The new ELCA.org is an engaging, dynamic experience, that provides meaningful content and connections for multiple audiences of members, leaders, and friends.
“God's Work. Our Hands.”
Our Faith in Action offers a platform for telling the stories of the work the church does. From disaster relief to mission work around the world, to social justice and advocacy, ELCA Lutherans have a longstanding tradition of donating their time, effort, and money to help people. Visitors can read new stories every time they visit.
Faith, Demystified.
The new Who We Are section communicates the tenets and beliefs of the ELCA in a conversational way that is relatable to a modern reader.
Something for Everyone
Because the ELCA offers so many different Ministries and Organizations, the site contains content that has deep relevance to a hugely diverse group of people. Our system helps to organize and make it easy to find.
For Element, the ELCA project marked a new level of strategic collaboration. Over 18 months, we met with, learned from, and rolled up our sleeves and got in the trenches with an amazing group of people at the ELCA. We got to know them very well--and we recommend that you do too.
“Element Creative listened to who we are as an organization. As a result, they were able to deliver solutions that communicate clearly and integrate with our existing systems—all with a new, invigorating look. This isn't just a fresh coat of paint on a rusting website, it is a complete rethinking of how we communicate our brand.”- Ben McDonald Coltvet // Managing Editor, ELCA.org
